The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the sassa status check lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support website level developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp SRD on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
